Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro F60 (9)

More progress for the carbon fiber parts. Together with some silver colorings, I have managed to complete the assembly of the engine. The next step will be a final polish on the cowlings and some final touch up with the reds. And that will be the last steps of this progress.

SS Pz NCO LAH Kharkov

At some point, I have enough time about F1, MotoGP, and anything with wheels. So I have decided to take a break for awhile and have a good time with my military figures.

This is going to be my second Alpine figures in progress. Althougth I have seen this figure being painted by lots of talented painters, I think I will be working on it in a slightly my own way.

This figure consists of just 5 different parts, the body, the arms and 2 alternative heads, meaning I will not be working to too much accessaries at all.

And at a setup, I have chosen the head with he waring hat which gives a windy look~

As a custom for myself, as I have not been working on figures for some months, I have kick down to a simple practise on some of my previously unfinished Dragon figures first. This time I have the suit painted for this figures and the practise session will finish at its completion.

Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro F60 (8)

Earlier in June, I have started the polishing of this F60. However, I have rubbed it so hard that I have even rubbed off part of the decals! Especially I have damaged the SF logo! Ihave no backup decal and I would have o fix it wih my hand painting skill..... So this is the fix and I have to clear coat the whole thing once again and sit and wait for another couple of weeks....

In a couple of weeks, the clear coat is ready for polishing.
Magically, I have recovered my Modeler's Top Compound 2000 which I thought I have lost it. So I have bee using this together with Ricebox Compound for the polishing.
Afterall, Hasegawa compound and was were also employed at finishing touch.

And I have started preparing the parts which are to be carbon fibre right away.
At some parts, I have be decalling with Studio27 CF decals, But for mos of the chassis parts, I have decided to have them sprayed over a net so it saves so much time to realise the CF effect.

Porsche 911-996 GT3 (4)

At some simple steps, I have managed to get this cockpit painted in a very dark grey. A slight shadowing has been made over the parts just like the previous Fairlady. And the rear seats have been covered with the soft stickers as instructed.

A few details will be added inside and I will then move on to the Fairlady for its chassis and interior.

Porsche 911-996 GT3 (3)

This is the Tuen Ng Festival in the Chinese calender. And this has transformed into a nice holiday in the moddle of the week. So I have got some extra time to work on both the yellow rides.
I have further fine-tuned the color for both rides and got them clear coated last weekend. In fact, I have mixed the paint into a seperate bottle at the end so I can have the color mixed right from the bottle. I am starting to be tired with two-layers paints working....

Anyway, the body of both rides have been settled and I have moved on with the chassis over the past couple of days. And finally, I have the chassis settled as well.

Nothing special but straight from instruction here in this build. I have focused more on the painting work instead. Extra care are paid when I have the chassis painted. The color matching is simple, but I wanted to give a little weathering over it. Little washing and burning on the exhausts have been done.

Nissan Fairlady 350Z Nismo Tuned (5)

So this is it.
Finally, I have hunted a new set of rims that would fit in. So this Fairlady is done and seal now.
I really enjoyed a lot from this build, from the very beginning when I have to mod the body kit myself, to that I have finally grabbed some time to start painting it, and to the finishing of the cockpit details.... These are all very nice progress I have gone thougth from this kit. I wil definitely keep up with the mood and try a bit more in my future progress.

Porsche 911-996 GT3 (2)

This weekend, I have managed to arrange time for air-brushing. The idea of having this Porsche yellow, I have wrapped up one of my WIP kits and cleaned up for air-brusing altogether.

The paint I am using this time is Giallo Orion from Ricebox. I have applied the base color for both kits and then I have retouched the tones of the top coat with Gunze GX-4 yellow.
The Fairlady has a slightly hight proportion for the pearl top coat then the GT3, hopefully there will be just very little bit of pearl coating on the GT3.

Porsche 911-996 GT3 (1)

Here I have started another progress, which is going to be a Porsche 911 GT3.
This will going to be a straight OOB, just to give myself some relieves over the pilling stocks.
The Porsche 911 is always one of my dream rides so building this kit will be much like a pleasure for myself.

Molding lines are remove at the first step as usual. Some of the panel lines are engaved in order to present the edges in greater degree.

The empty space at the sides of the spoiler was filled with Tamiya light-curing putty. I have just learnt how to use this kind of putty properly and I am sure this will be of great use in my later works.

After some sanding work and primers, The body is now ready for paint.
