Yamaha YZR-M1 2009 (17)
It was yesterday, I got the freshly released front fork set for Tamiya YZR M1 2009. But when I tried to plug into the converted bike, the width for the forks simply didn't fit in. I have no other options but to resume back to the 2005 forks....
Hopefully I will be able to utilise this front forks when I build the Tamiya new M1, upcoming to be released soon.

Yamaha YZR-M1 2009 (13)
After all those tedious finishing work on R1, I can finally get back to this M1 and start the painting job. Actually, some sanding and primer work were done on and off when I was doing the R1. The white base was applied last weekend with Gunze GX-1. And then I had a pearl white coat from Ricebox over the cowlings.

At my third attempt, I am starting to feel comfortable with the up and down of the pants.
I have washed the figure twice until I am reaching something like this.
Again, just the front upper part was painted and hopefully when I complete a round trip of the pants, I will go deeper into the fine details. At the moment, I just tried to have the shadows and highlights together first.

I have just started painting the pants for this LAH officer, but it turns out to be one of the most horrible nightmare ever since I experience painting figures....
The white is easily the most difficult color to try on one single pair of pants! I can hardly differentiate the tones of the white paint and I can just do it trial and error every time the brush touched the painting object.
I have spent a couple of hours getting started with the front upper part of the pants and it has been exhausting....
Fortunately, if it turns out that I cannot complete this in white, I will be washing away the paints and turn it into camo, since this is a resin figure! Haha~~!

As the Lorenzo R1 is pending for polishing and I have little intention to jump into the M1 project at the moment, I would like to move back to this wonderful figure first.
For some simple and relaxing 30 minutes, I have managed to give this figure the first face. I have a rough run over it and it will be fin tuned a bit later on.
