Macross VF-1S 25th Anniversary

It has been a very long while since I have started this kit. I was trying to use this kit as a test for the paint on the Yamaha M1. But I have stopped working on it because of all the tedious sanding and fitting work to be done, which I found myself the least enjoying at all. But the pending box of the parts has always annoyed me quite a lot as it is on the top of all my stuffs on my desk. So I have decided to work it out this time after months of abandon.

Zundapp KS750 - completed

After some lazy and slow progress, the bike is done! I have added a few more wires and some finishing touches with the acrylics. Some details are highlighted but sadly the scale really limited the display.... Anyway, it is nice to get this done as a little diorama objects for my upcoming figures.

Honda Jazz (7)

I have spent a couple of nights polishing one of the Hondas. These are all tough work as the clear coat is obviously very hard and strong! I have finally compromised with the effort anyway.

Valentino Rossi - Team Fiat Yamaha 2009 (12)

So here is another start. This will be another M1 progress which will be a simple build with the Top Studio enhencements. The Vale figure will be posted on this bike and will soon become a little diorama. The cowlings are all test-fitted onto the chassis. Tamiya has done another great job on the scale and sharpness! Some more parts to be assembled before I fill those gaps between the parts.

LCR Honda RC211V 2006 - Casey Stoner - 8

After the inner wall of the cowlings are painted, the RCV is completed!

Valentino Rossi - Team Fiat Yamaha 2009 (11)

OK, it is done! The Rossi helmet is completed and final touches are also finished. I will only need a proper 2009 M1 to have the diorama established.

Who's that? (4)

This time, I have sat down on my desk and work out the figure heads with a much proper lighting setup. The result is much better and I think I will be settling down at this stage.

Who's that? (3)

Here are 2 more german faces that I have worked during the weekend. Though, I am not really very satisified with the result yet. I think I will have to practise more on this skin tone for some while....

Who's that? (2)

Here I have the German infantryman started first as a start of the practise. I have tried to used a different shadow color to see if I can have the color tone cooler instead. This works pretty well as my first trial. And I have also tried to give a little red nose to him so the story can be told more easily. LOL. Hope the rest goes well.

Zundapp KS750 (3)

A little more painting work around this little bike tonight. (When I was waiting the live boardcast of 2011 MotoGP opener qualifying~) Some paint chippings was done and I have also given more highlights on some of the edges. Next will be some wirings around.

Zundapp KS750 (2)

At a very quick progress, the bike has been painted with a darker green color that match pretty well with the Andrea Uniform green. I have less than little problem when giving finer touches on top of the Gunze paint with Andrea paint!

I have also added some basic weathering with MIG pigment as well. WIll jump into finer details afterwards.

Who's that?

This is a 1:35 figure kit from Ukarine factory, Master box.
These figures are all molded very nicely and detailed. And they will serve as my another painting practise of this scale before I have another Alpine figure.

Zundapp KS750

FOr the time being, I have stocked this kit for a few years since it is first released by Lionroar. The highly detailed parts and decent photo etchings have worth a premium list price for the kit at the time.

Years later, I finally have the time to start this kit. What I will trying to do is to construct the bike as instructed and add a few more highlighting details around, and then I will bring one or two German soldiers around it as a little diorama.

Here it starts with a quick build-ups of the parts. I will be painting them in a very quick pace later on and put these all together. And here are some closeup with the details of the parts.

Valentino Rossi - Team Fiat Yamaha 2009 (10)

After coating with entire body with Testor dull coat, the suit is now fixed. I will only need to clear coat the helmet with the 2K coat I used with the RC211V earlier and give some final touches and this Rossi fiure will be done.

Valentino Rossi - Team Fiat Yamaha 2009 (9)

The painting work is completed and I have worked some shadows and highlights over the strips. Afterwards, decals are put on and sooner the figure will be clear coated and ready for M1.

One of my friends have given me his spare visor as my replacement! Great thanks Kit!
Now I have at least one completable helmet with a proper visor. I just need to give both helmet a clear coat to seal their decals.

And I have masked and painted the body tonight. Hopefully I will have the lighter blue masked and painted in this coming week and have the deacl on right behind.
