Nissan March - Orange

One of my best frineds has just got a Nissan March!
To celebrate with her my toy, I have decided to get her a copy of the car in 1:24 scale.
Hopefully I will be able to add some minor details to the kit as I will be able to take some detail pictures from her 1:1 copy.



The interior are superb if you are talking about a Fujimi kit. I can say it is excellent as an OOB kit.


The body is also in fine scale and panal lines are nice and sharp.

Though the chassis is simple, the details are clear and sharply presented.

I am thinking about to match the exact pearl orange color as my friend's ride. And I don't think it will be as simple as my Fairlady's Solar Orange from Ricebox.

So, after examining the kit on its own, I have started working on the body.

The emblems at the front and rear ends are both removed and will be replaced with photo etchings.

The edges around the fenders are all thinned down to recreate the scale.

At these simple fix, the body is almost ready to go. I would be adding some minor details around and that will take me some time to get some nice photo from the ride. So just stay tuned for the next update.

Olympus OM-10 - First contact

At the very last of 2009, I have got myself another new toy! The Olympus OM-10 film camera!
It has the exact same outlook as the Pen E-P1 and this will be my very first film camera!

I got this camera body from Yahoo! auction and I have mounted the 28mm F3.5 lens on it for its first couple of films. With the OM-10, the lens can be 1:1 wide from it specification and I have turely check out the lens quality. (Rather than a X2 crop factor on E-P1)


I have had the first patch of the photos on 31st Dec and apparently I will need a lot more practise! XD

And on the New year Eve, I had some shots of up on the hill too.

But unfortunately, I have got the 28mm lens ruined and I have quickly replaced the lens with another 35-70 F4 zoom lens. The shopkeeper, whom I purchased the lens, was so nice and evn taught me a proper gesture to hold the camera at run time! I guess I will be going with this lens at the moment until I have more spare money before I get any new ones.

E-P1 X Hong Kong Island Tram

Not very often, I jump up onto one of these tram, just to go for a very short distance along the tracks.

Tram has been a very convenient mean to get around from the place I worked.
If I go for MTR, it will get so long the way I go from the ground floor to the platform, which is a few stairs and tunnels to go.
If I go for bus, it will usually be loaded and it is not a comfort to sit on there when I am already exhausted from work.
Mini buses are good, as long as it is close to full load and the bus go straight to the destination. But sometimes it will gang around until 16 seats are loaded and it may sometimes take 10-15mins!

So, Trams go very frequent. In winter, when the air is cool, it is usually easier for me to get on to the trams. The only thing against it is time. In a rush, not at all.
So occasionally when I get myself free, go by tram is very enjoyable. The air and space let my mind free and I just watch the people on the street ganging around like a slow motion film.
Ding-ding~~Ding-ding~~ time passes... Let's get off~~

RE Amemiya FD3S RX-7

In fact, I have started this kit since March this year. But I wasn't quite concentrated on it at all.
Here are some progress pictures about it.
I would say this is another of my recent OOB build and I think I am pretty satisfied with it so far.

Some little addition to the ride is the inter-cooler that will be added. I have replicated one from the GTR-R34 kit.

Nissan Fairlady 350Z Nismo Tuned

I have started this kit back in 2007 Oct. I haven't been working on it at all as the sanding work for the body kit is really a demanding task. And afterall, I have got this kit stayed untouched over the years and worked on many some other things else.

From time to time, I have work little by little and finally, I have got the body replicated and it is now ready to be painted. Ihave decided to do it a pearl orange color and this paint is from Ricebox again. I hope I can still be working on this in December and hopefully get it done straight a way.

Denizen Miniatures 1:43 Racing Figures (2)

Finally, I have got a couple of decals for these 1:43 figures. These are both from MSM Creations.
Hopefully, I will be doing these soon.
