Williams BMW F1 FW24 (6)

Finally, this is it!
I have wrapped up the parts and get this done.

But so unfortunately, I have got one of the tyre decals ruined. And I while I was fixing it, the rest on the same tyre were also demaged. I have no choice but to clean up the whole tyre and that is why I can only get the kit setup with the tyre put aside.....

What a bad ending for this wonderful kit....... Anyway, I have get this done and hopefully I will be doing some other F1 kits next year. Thanks for watching this progress.

Williams BMW F1 FW24 (5)

Progress is still very slow for this FW24. I have got the tyre marks applied today and the chassis is now ready and I guess I will add no more details at the engine bay for now.
Just some little bug-fixes will get this F1 kits done.

Williams BMW F1 FW24 (4)

I have spent the weekend watching the last race of F1, and the mood for modeling come back eventually. Since I have not been very satisified with the clear coat polishing this time, I didn't have the spirit to proceed... But anyway, I have to move on so this will not hold for too long.

At the moment, wiring works were done. Actually, some further wirings can still be added and the wires can still be better fixed. And some details here and there will be put on soon.

Williams BMW F1 FW24 (3)

As days passed, I have finally finished polishing the cowlings and some areas have been repainted as a quick fit of chipped paints. As the frame has been polished, the rest of the details are fittted together and things are getting like a F1 ride now.

Further details will be added later on. Also, if you look at the pic closer, the engine cover can't really be closed completely. Possibly it is due to the painting layers have pull the cowling upward. So I do not plan to have this ride curbside. And engine details are to be added in a greater degree than originally planned.

Williams BMW F1 FW24 (2)

So, it is not the German tanker, it is not the F-15C, it is the BMW!
I am very lazy this weekend. Anyway, I am not trying to be hurry with all these kits. I just tried to do it bit by bit.

After some weeks, the clear coat should be fully dried. I have get the cowlings polished today and some more parts are to be painted into CF. So it is almost done. Haha~

Williams BMW F1 FW24 (1)

Over the week, I have been working on this kit, hoping to get it done before winter.

I have spent much time earlier to get the carbon fibre decals about the monocoque and fairings. But eventually, I got tired about applying those decals and turned out to be doing the carbon fibre pattern with air-brushing. This has speeded up my progress a lot and I am now almost ready to get the parts together.

Though, I have to wait for a couple of weeks so the final clear coat is dry and hard enough to final polishment.
