Fiat 500 Custom (5)

Finally I have this Fiat 500 closed. I think this is a pretty straight forward build but the interrupted progress did create some flaws here and there. 

The fitting become a problem when I am not actually aware of the narrow margin at the front bumper. And at the end the clear coat broke up a little suffering with the pulling back and fore.... and the polishing is apparently not perfect at the white did being rubbed off... and so on with the missing antenna....

Anyway, it is a fun kit to build and the fitting is a great improvement as a Fujimi kit.

It has been some time since I have worked on this kit. I was doing something about it here and there so I didn't really have a proper update. In fact, the kit is almost ready to go now and I just need to work out the glasses and the lights.

I did spend time painting the custom color strips for the interior with acrylic paints, trying to add some texture to it instead of leaving it dead green and red. I hope this will give more details when viewed from the outside of the ride.

Just a very quick livery application, with a few little decals up. I quickly applied a quick clear coat over for protection since I will need to hang in there before I work out heavy clear coat work with all my other rides.

Resuming the work with this kit, I am painting the body straight the way with Gunze GX-white.

Fiat 500 Custom

This kit actually was started back in August 2011. But I have always been working on some other kits and that's why it has been abandoned all the time.... I came to a point where my desk is clear from the Nissan March and Honda Jazz(s). So it is a good moment to pick this up again and give it a good go.

As of 11-Aug-2011:

The body has already been worked and thinned where necessary. 

I have also prepared some customize decals for this build as well. Hopefully this will give a special livery as to other Fiat 500 build around the world.

As of today (01-June-2012):

I have primer coated and this is now ready for paint anytime!
