Today, it comes to a day when I really cannot delay the start of this kit anymore. I need to get this prepared as it jumped into September all in a sudden. I hope I can get this done right before November then I will manage to complete it for the competition for this year.
This is a BMW K100 kit, i pretty aged kit and properly discontinued for long. I got this from a yahoo auction as far as I can remember, probably over 3 years ago. You can tell how original this kit as I barely know there is such kit before placing the bid.
Opening the kit, it is a very simple kit. I can see from the design of the molding it has to be the same period like the Tamiya Mini Cooper. The instruction sheets are very brief but at usual Tamiya standard. And the plastics are really strong. When i cut the parts off, it is like as if it is new kit released a few weeks ago!
I quickly worked out some of the major body parts so I can mor on with the paint job asap.
The intake cover has to be opened up for a net replacement. So I drilled around the openings and put the openings in proper shape.
Then the frame of the bike is setup and the body kit is pre-assembled.
This has to be a kit for of fun as I nolong need to take care of all the messy wiring and hosting.... yet... haha
